Paul Watson

 

    I have had more than five years of experience in journalistic writing and editing. In addition, I have worked with search engine optimization techniques, including social media, for about two years. With this level of experience, there is much that I can bring to your company.

 

   

Much of my experience was gained from two seemingly separate but connected jobs: Working as a copy editor at the Gwinnett Daily Post, and working as an SEO writer and editor for Optimized Scribes, a small marketing start-up in Norcross, Georgia. With the Gwinnett Daily Post, I learned to truly pay attention to the smallest details; after all, one mistake could lead to a libel lawsuit. 

 

 

 When I moved to Optimized Scribes, I took this attention to detail with me. There, I wrote and edited blogs, social media posts, press releases and other content for clients as small as a local community theater and as major as Volvo. 

 

 

 I did graduate last year with a degree in journalism, but do not let my youth deter you. While attending Berry College I was the editor of the award-winning student newspaper, The Campus Carrier. During my tenure, I oversaw a major overhaul of the publication’s design, which has since won the top state award for said design. I am not afraid of leadership or exploring new ideas.
